The Bv206 all-terrain transport vehicle (Bandvagn 206) is a multi-purpose all-terrain transport vehicle that can travel on all terrains including snow and swamps. It is mainly used to transport combatants and materials. In 1973, the Swedish Army began to explore the successor to the Bv202, requiring the new car to retire after 15 years of service. In 1974, the Army chose Heglon and Sanner to complete the necessary research and development work in order to design a vehicle with a load of 2t materials or 17 fully armed soldiers, requiring off-road mobility not lower than Bv202, low maintenance costs and training The crew is easy. From 1976 to 1981, the Army tested and appraised 52 different prototypes. The first batch of Bv206s was officially delivered to the Army in April 1981. After that, Hegelon and Sonner produced more than 5,000 Bv206s and sold them to 13 countries.

The car consists of two carriages, which are connected by a steering device. Each carriage consists of a chassis and a body. The chassis part is composed of a central beam, a side drive and a mobile device assembly. 4 independent mobile device assemblies are interchangeable. The front compartment can carry 600kg cargo or can accommodate 5 soldiers and a driver; the rear compartment can carry 1,400kg cargo or there is enough space for 11 fully armed soldiers. Their seats are on the sides and front of the car, and backpacks and other items can be placed on the roof of the car, with a maximum weight of 200kg. When the car is fully loaded, it can tow a trailer with a total weight of 2.5t in any road environment, and the rear compartment can be easily replaced for special purposes.
